(PRWEB) March 16, 2005 -- “Beauty: Camera Eye of the Beholder,” an international photographic exhibition featuring 100 images by female photographers exploring the concept of beauty, will be juried by top professionals in the field representing eight categories, Photojournalism, Fashion, Portrait, Still Life, Environment, Lifestyle, Conceptual, and Architecture. Call for Entries and exhibit is presented by Women In Photography International the #1 online resource center for women photographers worldwide. Deadline for entries is May 1, 2005, midnight PST. Exhibition will run from June 1-August 1, 2005 at http://www.WomenInPhotography.org.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, as the saying goes. Given the subjective nature of beauty, entrants are encouraged to push the boundaries of accepted notions of beauty and show their distinctive perception of beauty. According to Jean Ferro, Photo Artist and President of WIPI, “In a world of chaos and violence, the WIPI call for entries and the resulting online exhibition will be a contrast, a virtual imprint of how female photographers see the world around them. We are thrilled to have gathered top professionals who are at the helm of the world’s presentation of imagery to juror the WIPI call for entries.”

The exhibit is curated by Carrie Villines, photographer and WIPI Professional Member. Carrie has curated WIPI’s previous online photo exhibits, “virtual * visual” and “Decisive Moments.”

Women In Photography International was created in 1981 as a 501.c.3 educational outreach organization by women photographers to communicate ideas, opportunities and their passion for photography. Since 1985 WIPI has presented its Distinguished Photographers Award to honor women who have contributed significantly to the world of photography.
